Thursday, May 23rd 2013 at 6:00 in the morning, Ely put his tefillen on as a Bar Mitzvah boy. His father Michael accompanied him evey step of the way, helping him put his tefillen, and tallit on. His mother Regina watched upstairs, with great emotion, accompanied by her mother who flew in all the way from Israel to see her grandson become a Bar Mitzvah. The men in the shul were exited and happy for Ely, and I'm sure were thinking about what a great breakfast awaits after davening. Before Ely stepped infront of the torah to start reading, I could see in his face without a doubt he was ready...
